Dr. Ana Canelo Serrano
Dr. Canelo earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minnesota. During her time there, she developed an interest in exercise, sports medicine and rehab. She practiced in Texas for 7 years where she focused on soft tissue injuries, rehabilitation, and injury prevention. Dr. Canelo has collaborated with orthopedic doctors, neurosurgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to successfully co-managed complex cases and post-op cases. During her time in practice she worked with football, basketball, softball, and baseball athletes. Dr. Canelo believes in evidence based treatment to successfully treat her patients and focuses on patient education as a way to prevent the risk of musculoskeletal injuries.
Dr. Canelo understands the importance of movement and physical health. She has worked closely with the CrossFit community since 2012, which included providing treatment to athletes at regionals and CrossFit games in 2018. During the last 15 yrs she has participated in half marathons, races, and local CrossFit competitions. She currently focuses on Olympic lifting as a way to stay active.
In Dr. Canelo's free time, she loves to spend time with her family and rescue pups, she enjoys watching sports, reading, traveling and vegan cooking.
