Dr. Caravolas received a BS in Human Science from Georgetown University where he did his capstone research on velocity based training with ROTC students. He completed a 1-year intensive coaching internship in Austin, TX working with Crossfit athletes, High School athletes, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu athletes, and the Military. Dr. Caravolas received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from the University of Bridgeport, and is currently getting his Masters in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport as well. He has received additional training in Fascial Manipulation and a certification in Functional Range Conditioning.

Dr Caravolas uses cupping, instrument assisted soft tissue therapy, Fascial Manipulation, Cox Flexion distraction therapy, EMS therapy, McKenzie and Williams techniques, Nutrition counseling, and rehab exercises in combination with the traditional Chiropractic Adjustment to ensure the best results for his patients. Dr Caravolas believes in patient centered evidence-based care for his patients.

Spinal Manipulation

Techniques that treat back pain, neck pain, and other musculoskeletal conditions via the application of force to the spinal joints to restore the spine’s structural integrity, reduce pain, and initiate the body’s natural healing processes.

Extra-Spinal Manipulation

Chiropractic manipulative treatment to the head (including temporomandibular joint or TMJ), lower extremities, upper extremities, rib cage, and/or abdomen.

FAKTR / Graston Technique

Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that uses specially designed stainless-steel instruments to detect and treat soft tissue fibrosis (scar tissue) or chronic inflammation in muscles, tendons and ligaments.

Ultrasound

Application of sound waves to cause microscopic vibrations in deep tissue molecules to warm and increase metabolism for pain relief and to promote tissue healing.

Electrical Stimulation

Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) or E-Stim uses low voltage electrical current to provide pain relief and stress in soft tissues.

Hot / Cold Therapy

Ice packs are used for acute injuries or pain, along with inflammation and swelling. Heat packs for muscle pain or stiffness.

Kinesiotaping

The Kinesio Taping® Method is a therapeutic taping technique which alleviates pain and facilitates lymphatic drainage by microscopically lifting the skin.

Cupping

A form of alternative medicine in which a local suction is created on the skin to facilitate healing by increasing circulation in the immediate area.
